After collectively working with parents and newborns for over 20 years in the health care industry, there appeared to be an increasing and unsettling trend happening...parents going home with their newborns exhausted, overwhelmed and anxious. Now one might argue that new parents have always been exhausted and while that is most certainly true, there is now a new level of exhaustion originating from an over abundance of information given over an increasingly shortened amount of time. One may also argue that feeling overwhelmed and anxious is also just part of being a new parent and while that also has some merit, today's parents have never been more inundated with "how to's" and "know how's" from not only well meaning family, friends and health care workers but also the insurmountable amount of information accessible on the internet.

At Nurish Me our mission is to provide education, training and support to new parents by Registered Nurses specialized in newborn care where they need it, when they need it and how they need it. Using a Family Centred Care Model, we stand by our "Ish" philosophy that no two families are alike and no two newborns are alike so there is no a one size fits all guide to parenting. At Nurish Me, we are here for you so that you can feel  comfortable with not knowing all the answers and enjoy this journey with your new baby.
